Megger® DET5/4 Series of digital ground resistance testers are fully automatic, four terminal instruments built into rugged, water resistant cases (designed to IP54) that provide protection for outside use. They can be used for fall-of-potential and slope method testing, as well as soil resistivity measurement s to map for ground-bed site selection. They are available with either rechargeable batteries (DET5/4R) or six AA dry cells (DET5/4D), both of which allow for 600 typical 15 second tests. These units check for conditions that may cause an invalid reading during the test (high spike resistance, excessive noise) and give a direct indication (via LED's) that a valid reading cannot be taken. An industry best 40 volt peak-to-peak interference tolerance allows the instrument to successfully perform in a variety of environments.
